FULL-STACK ENGINEER

Arkade has developed a flexible and powerful headless solution that delivers a great experience to customers, generates sales through high performing and more relevant shopping journeys, and most importantly, clients and developers love to work on.

Working with community-first and performance-driven platforms like Shopify Plus, Omneo CX Suite, Google Cloud Platform, Prismic CMS, Zendesk, Sumo, Formstack, Zeit to deliver a truly headless and customer-centric eCommerce experience.

You'll be working on an exciting platform that offers:

  • Completely headless e-commerce storefront built on a modern JavaScript stack of React, GraphQL, and Next JS.

  • Supports both server-side and front-end rendering.

  • Google Cloud serverless functions for serving up data-heavy frontend requests, making use of the recent stale-while-revalidate cache control for performance

  • An integrated error logging platform captures exceptions and alerts for debugging purposes.

  • A growing Prismic content library can be used to build highly customised Homepages, landing pages and rich product pages.

  • Supports multi-device / multi-platform with responsive design. Including Progressive Web Apps (or PWAs)

  • Shopify Plus Storefront API for all e-commerce functions such as cart/checkout

  • Shopify Plus Notifications for all commerce related emails.

  • Shopify Plus Multipass to maintain login across Website, Shopify checkout and other connected experiences.

Some of the Key Selection Criteria you need to know

Core Skills and Experience

  • Minimum 5 years development experience in PHP using the Laravel Framework

  • Frontend experience with Javascript frameworks (Vue.js and/or React)

  • Experience writing unit tests (PHPUnit)

  • Extensive experience in designing, developing and maintaining RESTful APIs and applications

  • Ecommerce & ERP integration experience

  • Experience with AWS especially RDS, SQS, EB, EC2 is a bonus

  • Laravel, Node.js

  • MySql, Postgres

Front End

  • JavaScript/ES6

  • React/React Native/Mobile Development

  • Shopify (Liquid)

  • JS Tooling Webpack/Yarn/NPM

General

  • Experience in project analysis and estimation

  • Strong communication skills; effectively communicate during stand-ups on progress/ blockers, ability to articulate solutions to clients and non-technical stakeholders

  • Test features and requirements, refine as required

  • Good understanding and knowledge of UX and Customer Experience 

  • Continuous Integration/CI
